Life doesn't have to be lived as some kind
of cosmic chess game or high stakes
power play. We needn't be solemn and stark
and eternally wounded.

There are good, bad, and in between days.
Nobody feels like they're doing everything right
or that they have all they want.
There is no such thing as perfection
and there is no need to prostrate and repress.

I am alive, and I can enjoy my life as it is.

There is so much that I can do to stay busy,
and not give in to addiction.
I can also relax and enjoy quiet time
without doubting myself and ruminating.
